How we look at removing a tree stump
Removing the tree stump is done by Stump Grinding where we use specialist machines called stump grinders. This grinds the tree stump down to wood chips and makes it easy to remove and is quicker and more effective than trying to dig out the tree roots. There are many different types of stump grinders depending on the size and location of where the tree was situated. As we are professional tree surgeons we take care to do little damage to the surrounding ground and aim to reduce the stump to around 200mm below the surface to allow replanting, turfing or covering of the area. Once we have completed removing the tree stump we will remove any of the wood chips leaving the area clean and safe.
